The
Silent T'ai Chi Ch'uan Retreat
Let
t'ai chi relax the body, -Tom Krapu, Ph.D. Yang Style Short Form Organizer: Tom Krapu, Ph.D. The focus of the retreat will be intensive, structured T'ai Chi practice and T'ai Chi meditation, balanced with additional periods for rest and deep relaxation. T'ai Chi practice will include form practice, standing meditation, holding postures and optional sensing hands practice, all done within a meditative atmosphere of silence. When: Option 1: Start Thursday (Individuals with limited or no experience in Sensing Hands are encouraged to choose Option 1 for the push hands instruction Thursday evening.) August 7th to the 10th, 2008, Thursday, 5 p.m. to Sunday, 3 p.m. Option 2: Start Friday August 8th to the 10th, 2008, Friday, 5 p.m. to Sunday, 3 p.m. Where: Mercy Center, 2039 N Geyer Rd, St. Louis Missouri 63131 (Pictures of Mercy Retreat Center.)
Workshop fees include workout facility, meals from dinner on the first night through lunch Sunday and deluxe, private, SINGLE occupancy room with private bath. The workshop is considered intermediate to advanced, but is available to anyone who has learned the Yang short form and has practiced the entire form regularly. All
reservations are based on availability. A room cannot be guaranteed without
a deposit. The number of rooms is limited. Please specify if you are interested
in, or willing to have a roommate, if we run short of rooms or someone
else also requests a roommate. A small discount ($14 per day per person)
will apply to people with double occupancy. |
